She has written creatively all her life with work including poetry, flash fiction, personal essay, novel writing and fiction. Tara is seeking representation for the memoir and has submitted selected essays to literary journals.

Her workshop “Mining Memories: Inspiration for the Art of Memoir Writing” will offer an exploration of the craft of memoir. Following the advice of best-selling author Natalie Goldberg, participants will discover the memories of their life that shaped who they are today. Inspiration and prompts from Goldberg’s “Old Friend from Far Away: The Practice of Memoir Writing” we will guide our thoughts and memories into complete short stories of our personal history. Everyone has the capacity to write. With disregard for perfection, we will find pieces of self through the cathartic practice of reflection.
